How to read two cards on one basis

Clear-span and multi-bay frames can share a footprint and still differ in rafter weight, interior column lines, and the foundation reactions at each column. Write length, width, eave height, and bay spacing once, then ask every supplier to price that geometry. If a supplier shortens the span or adds a column, mark it as a substitution instead of a lower price for the same building.

Warehouse, workshop, and hangar cards are use families, not finished designs. A dock door, a crane runway, and a hangar door impose different header loads and wind cases. State the opening size and who supplies the door. If the first request is shell only, say so, and keep delivered, installed, and turnkey figures off that line.

Insulated systems need a named panel or a liner-and-blanket description, plus the thermal transmittance or R-value being priced. A fire-resistance rating, when the jurisdiction asks for one, has to cite the assembly the supplier will actually ship. A brochure value for a different joint is not the quoted wall.

When the cards are not enough, review the sourcing process or send the project requirements. Optional budget notes should say USD or another currency and whether the figure is per building or for the whole order.
